Do you want to create a more active playground?

Do you want to give staff and older children the skills and confidence to embed activities that will help children to achieve their 30 active school minutes a day?

Our Playground Starz programme is a half day workshop, designed to enable staff and older children (we suggest year 5 or 6) to deliver a variety of games, activities and ideas to get your school moving outside of the timetabled PE curriculum.

With an emphasis on inclusion, fun, safety, responsibility and encouragement, we spend the session teaching your chosen ‘Starz’ year group how to structure and lead, exciting and engaging games and activities for their peers to participate in during lunchtime and break time.

We place a huge emphasis on positive language, resilience and encouragement to increase self-esteem throughout the training.

We firmly believe that having structured activities in place can have a dramatic impact on behaviour issues on the playground, can create new friendships and improve teamwork skills.

Kids R Fit- Run by Tracey Davison who is so full of energy she takes your breath away. Utterly reliable, imaginative and so much fun whether a childs or an adult session. At Kells Lane School we just love her!

Di Hewitson - Headteacher

Tracey is a natural to work with children. She plans exciting activities for them, taking their needs into account, she enthuses them to take part and is totally inclusive. She ensures that all children can enjoy the activities she runs, constantly aware of their capacity to be involved and altering aspects of the activity if they struggle or don’t understand. Parents are involved to but in a way that interests them and is never patronising or only for the super fit! Tracey provides a safe environment for children to learn about healthy eating and exercise, making it fun and reinforcing the basics throughout. Her weekly class was always full and enjoyed by all involved. She is extremely professional and focused, friendly and helpful and an excellent role model for both children and adults alike.
