Creating an active Playground:

Our Playground Starz programme is a half day workshop, designed to enable staff and older children to deliver a variety of games, activities and ideas to get your school moving outside of the timetabled PE curriculum.

For larger schools or multiple year groups, we can offer a full day workshop. The children will use a variety of equipment that will be in your PE cupboard (or we can suggest where you can purchase) and their own imaginations.

Fun, safety, responsibility and encouragement:

Are the order of the day. We spend the first 60 minutes teaching your chosen ‘Starz’ year group how to structure and lead, exciting and engaging activities for their peers to participate in during lunchtime and break time. We firmly believe that playground games and activities help children to get fit without realising it.

They also encourage children to think of sport as fun, giving them a more positive outlook on sport in the future. Having structured sessions in place can also have a dramatic impact on behaviour issues at lunchtime and decrease the amount of staff time spent on dealing with incidents and accidents.

A few words from happy schools...

The Hoopstarz session really got the children enthused and motivated to try hula hooping as a fun physical activity. The event went so well that we now have a Hula Hooping after school club which the children love!

David Mordue - PE co-ordinator, Fellside Community Primary School

I’d never bothered with hula hooping before but I tried it when KidzRfit came into school and I really enjoyed it. I like it because it’s a bit different to the usual sports like football and rugby. I go to hula hooping club every week now and really enjoy it.

Absolutely FABULOUS 1 hour of exciting & fun exercise for children young and OLD. Traditional old fashioned games with a modern twist. Dancing to funky music with the added touch of the POM POMS, the children are entertained from the minute they go in to the minute they leave. Friday Afternoon isnt the same now Harry is in school.
